Aspect Abundant Shale LP - Headquartered in Denver, Colorado, was formed in June of 2006 as a joint venture. Through affiliates of Aspect Energy, LLC and First Reserve, a private equity firm based in Greenwich, Connecticut. The joint venture focuses on the evaluation and exploration of unconventional shale plays throughout North America. Concentrating on our current leasehold positions of over two hundred fifty thousand (250,000) acres (as of 7/1/08) primarily in the Barnett, Marcellus, and other emerging shale plays.
